Richard C. Irvin —Alderman-At-Large

Alderman At-Large, Richard C. Irvin, was elected to the City Council in April 2007. He presently serves on the Buildings, Grounds and Infrastructure Committee of the City Council. He and his wife, Crystal (Rollins) have a daughter, Devon and a son, Quinn.

Richard C. Irvin was born and raised in Aurora and is a graduate of East Aurora High School. He also holds a B.A. from Robert Morris College and a Law Degree from Northern Illinois University. Among his many notable attributes is that Richard is a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm; he has taught at Robert Morris College, Northern Illinois University and as a substitute teacher at East Aurora District 131.

He has served as a Community Leader by participating on the 708 Mental Health Inc. Executive Board, the Illinois Coalition for Community Services Executive Board, the Institute for Public Safety Partnerships as a Police Trainer and as a Big Brothers and Big Sisters Volunteer.

Attorney Richard C. Irvin is a former Prosecutor for Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office; Program Founder for Aurora Community based Prosecutor Weed & Seed Program in Aurora. He also worked as an assistant State’s Attorney for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. Attorney Irvin currently owns and operates the law offices of Richard C. Irvin and Associates.
