Ward Ten—Alderman Lynne Johnson

Lynne Johnson, the sixth born of 13 children in an Irish Catholic family, attended St. Joan of Arc, Benet Academy, and earned a bachelor of arts in elementary education/Spanish, magna cum laude from Benedictine University. She was a corporate trainer, email system administrator, and presentation manager for a financial trading firm, Van Kampen Funds. For the last seven years, she has been an elementary school teacher for the Plainfield School District 202 and the Naperville School District 203. Johnson has a daughter who is in high school and their dog, Charlie/Carlito.

Lynne serves as a Director for the Plaza on New York Community Association, is a member of the Aurora Historical Society, and has volunteered for organizations such as Blessings in a Backpack, 360 Youth Services, St. Baldrick's, Special Spaces, and GiGi's Playhouse. She serves on the Government Operations Committee
