9:15 a.m., at the Reviewing stand in front of the Paramount Theatre.
The ceremony begins with the Posting of the Colors by Veterans of the Korean War followed by a special performance of the National Anthem by the Legacy Girls. Mayor Weisner will speak and Aurora’s own Tonatiu Ruiz-Escobedo will deliver a moving rendition of the PreAmble.
NDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE 2013
10 a.m., steps off at the corner of Benton & River Streets.
With over60 units in the parade, the route will head East on Benton, north on Broadway, West on Galena and South on River Street. Grab a great seat by the Reviewing Stand in front of the Paramount Theatre.
IREWORKS & FAMILY FESTIVITIES
Fireworks will light up the downtown Aurora sky beginning at 9:30 p.m! This pyrotechnic spectacular will be bigger and better than ever with bursts of vibrant colors accompanied by a musical soundtrack that will have you rocking on the river! Come down early to get the best seats in town and have a great time with family and friends during the Pre-Fireworks Festivities beginning at 5:00 p.m. at any of the following three locations:
ILDER PROMENADE - A Family Fourth!
5-10 p.m., 350 N. River Street
FREE fun for the kids and families with inflatable rides, tasty treats, music by DJ Jerome and tons of activities! Bring the entire family for a night filled with fun festivities!
CCULLOUGH PARK - A Hometown Fourth!
5-10 p.m., Illinois Ave. & Lake Street (park adjacent to the Prisco Center)
Old-fashioned fun with good music from local legends: Hudson Crossing, Windy City Wizards, Bradley Keven Green Family Band, and Captains of Industry! Games, stories, historical characters, and a patriotic program from the American Legion Band.
iVEREDGE PARK- Fourth on the Fox!
5-10 p.m., 360 N. Broadway Ave.
The suburbs newest entertainment and recreational destination, RiverEdge Park, will be filled with friends, food, fun, and some of the finest musical acts:
- 5:30 p.m. – Bruce in the USA
- 8:15 p.m. – Fox Valley Orchestra

ARKING & SHUTTLES
The three locations are within walking distance of each other which makes visiting each venue easy and convenient for patrons. In addition, the City is offering FREE park and ride shuttle service from 6 to 9 p.m. providing roundtrip transportation at numerous locations. The shuttles will resume service after the fireworks display with the latest departure scheduled for 11 p.m. The park and ride locations include:

Carquest Auto Parts, 3 N. Smith St.
Main Baptist Church, 814 E. Galena (Parking only. Patrons should catch the shuttle across the street at Carquest)

East Aurora High School, 500 Tomcat Ln.
- Red Route
Luigi’s Pizza, 732 N. Prairie St.
West Aurora High School, 1201 W. New York St.
- Pink Route
Northgate Shopping Center, 850 N. Lake St. (Dedicated shuttle that will run only between Northgate and McCullough Park)
- Green Route
Presence Mercy Medical Center, 1325 N. Highland Av.
Cermack’s Supermarket, 1250 N. Lake St.
- Gold Route
Aurora Police Department, 1200 E. Indian Tr.
Indian Trail Shopping Plaza & Business Center, 254-302 E. Indian Tr.

AMF Valley Bowling Center (former site), 310 S. Lincolnway Av., North Aurora
In addition, FREE parking will be offered at the Aurora Transportation Center, 233 N. Broadway Ave.
