Aurora annually remembers and honors all the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Come and show your appreciation and support.

Parade Reviewing Officers: Major Scott LeMaster, Illinois Air National Guard with his son, Evan LeMaster

Parade: 12 p.m. in historic downtown Aurora - The parade kicks-off at River St. & Benton St., goes east on Benton St., then north on Broadway St., turning west on Galena Blvd. and ending at Hoyt Place.  Best viewing is at North Island Center.

Veterans Day Parade

10:15 a.m.

The City of Aurora’s Veterans Day Parade will recognize military personnel who have fought for our country’s freedom. The parade will step off from Benton and Water streets, proceed north on Broadway Avenue to Downer Place and west to the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Hall, 23 E. Downer Place. Local school organizations and military veteran groups are scheduled to participate.

A ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the GAR and will conclude with a military rifle salute at 11 a.m.
