Dan Ferrelli was hired as the Director of Media Relations for the Aurora Police Department in June, 1996. He was assigned citywide public information duties in September, 2009.
Dan’s reputation as a public information professional is known across the United States. His work has garnered several national awards and his efforts have been the subject of articles that have appeared in several trade publications. Aside from his work with the city, he teaches media relations and public information practices to police and fire officials across Illinois through the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy in Glen Ellyn, IL. He is a member of both the National Information Officers Association and the International Association of Chiefs of Police Public Information Officer Section.
An Aurora native, Dan has over 30 years of professional communications experience. He worked for over 13 years at various Chicagoland radio stations as an on-air talent, program director, and news and sports reporter. Prior to joining the Aurora Police, he was co-owner of a professional video production company that specialized in industrial and corporate accounts.

Scott Sauber joined the City of Aurora’s ACTV in July 2006, bringing nearly 30 years of television production experience working in a wide variety of disciplines. He honed his production skills at Multimedia Cablevision of Lisle, Centel Cable Television, and Jones Intercable as master control operator, editor, producer, and director. While at Jones, Scott was promoted to Advertising Production Manager where he directed the activities of three video production departments in support of a $10 million sales budget. Scott maintained his supervisory duties after AT&T Broadband and Comcast assumed control of the company. He also taught classes in television production at the Illinois Center for Broadcasting.
Aurora Community Television has garnered several national awards for their productions that highlight various city events and services.
