| Description |
Black and white photo of "First Annual Encampment at Aurora, Ill, 3rd Ill. Vol. Reg. Sept. 15, 1914", the photo was taken on the steps in front of City Hall. The reflection of the Aurora Silverplate sign is visible in one of the windows.
There is a list that identifies 25 of the men and their location in the picture on "Pacific Coast Division, Old 3rd Illinois Volunteer Infantry" stationery.
I would guess that these gentlemen were from the Spanish-American war because they do not look old enough to be from the Civil War.
It was glued to a cardboard backing with plastic over the picture. The picture does not appear to be damaged by this. |
