Description Black Navy officers jacket, gold buttons, four gold bands on sleeves indicate Captain rank. Wings with anchor and circle indicate Aviation observer.
Ribbons on chest: Navy Silver Star, Purple Heart, unknown, Navy Reserve, American Campaign, Europe-Africa-Middle East Campaign with one bronze star, Asia-Pacific Campaign with four bronze and one silver star, WW 2 Victory, unidentified, Philippine Liberation with two bronze stars, Expert Rifle.
Small gold star with 6 smaller stars around base.
