Description Large ornate Bible. Black leather with raised panels and gold tooled design, "G.A.R." stamped on the front. Inscribed inside cover "Aurora Post No. 20" with stylized GAR initials. "Presented to Aurora Post No. 20 G.A.R. Aurora, Ill., By their lady friends, January 18, 1876"

"Holman's Edition of the Holy Bible containing the Old and New Testaments translated out of the Original Tongues and with The Former Translations Diligently compared and revised; with the Apocrypha, Concordance, and Psalms."

Philadelphia: A. J. Holman & Co., No. 930 Arch Street, 1876.

Binding broken, some pages coming loose. Back half of brass latch is missing.
