Fox Valley Golf Club To Open For 2012 Season
Local golf enthusiasts now have another option to swing into spring when the City of Aurora plans to open the Fox Valley Golf Club at 7 a.m. Thursday, April 12.
The golf course will be offering a weekday 18-hole riding special for $26 per golfer and a weekend 18-hole riding special for $34 per golfer. The course, 2500 N. River Road, North Aurora, will open this week weather permitting.
Fox Valley Golf Club closed in October for turf maintenance work to improve the playing conditions that had suffered due to abnormal weather patterns last summer. The work, combined with above average temperatures this spring, has greatly enhanced the quality of the turf.
Aurora residents also can tee off at the 18-hole Phillips Park Golf Course located at 1001 Hill Ave, Aurora. The course has been open throughout much of the year due to the mild winter weather.
