Aurora Neighborhood Planning Initiative
Light of the Community Neighborhood
The Aurora Neighborhood Planning Initiative (ANPI) is designed to help residents and other local stakeholders (e.g. business owners and employees, faculty and staff at local schools and churches, etc) shape the way their neighborhood will grow and change. Located around the E New York St/Farnsworth Av intersection in the eastern portion of Kane County, the Light of the Community Neighborhood is the sixth neighborhood to complete the ANPI process. The neighborhood planning process will be characterized by active community participation, without which the ANPI would not be successful. A series of neighborhood meetings are organized to gather input and ideas from residents and local stakeholders. Numerous leadership team meetings and planning activities will also play important roles in the planning process.
