Aurora's Storied Architecture, History to be Celebrated May 4
The Aurora Public Art Commission and the Aurora Historical Society will help tell the story of Aurora’s first 175 years through two new exhibits that will be unveiled Friday, May 4 at the David L. Pierce Art and History Center, 20 E. Downer Place.

Motorcycle Sunday
The 12th annual event, which attracted more than 1,000 people last year, will have something for every motorcycle enthusiast. The free event will feature a 60-mile motorcycle rally, live music, a bike blessing, bike shop and food vendors, safety presentations and people’s choice bike contest. The 60-mile bike ride begins at 1 p.m.

Rain Barrel Program Informational Meeting
Aurora residents can learn about rain barrels, rain gardens and other eco-friendly techniques at this Aurora Public Library program. The Conservation Foundation’s Jim Kleinwachter will be speaking from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 7 at the West Library Branch, 231 W. Constitution Drive.

The City celebrates May as National Physical Fitness and Sports month by inviting middle school students with grades of either an “A” or “B” in physical education to participate in “Olympic-style” sports and recreation competitions. Rain Barrel Pickup and Sale

Memorial Day Parade
Aurora will remember all those who gave their lives for our country during a parade and ceremony. With the Downer Place bridge construction taking place in the downtown, check out the City’s website closer to the event for the new parade route. The ceremony starts at 11:15 a.m.; Parade steps off at noon.
