Cop On Top
Aurora Police will stage “Cop on Top” events at four area Dunkin’ Donuts shops on June 1. In exchange for a donation to Special Olympics customers will receive a certificate for a free donut. The fundraisers will take place from 5 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Dunkin’ Donuts at 1237 N. Eola Rd.; 2380 S. Eola; 2112 W. Galena Blvd.; and 1255 N. Farnsworth Av. A variety of Special Olympics Torch Run memorabilia will also be for sale.

Electronics Recycling
State law now bans electronics from being sent to landfills. Aurora offers twice-monthly collection sites for you to conveniently dispose of old or unwanted electronics. For a complete list of accepted items, call 630-256-INFO or visit the City’s website. Residents with ground-level floors also can schedule a front-door collection appointment (maximum 10 items) by calling the City’s vendor, Vintage Tech Recyclers, at 630-305-0922.

Louche Puce Market
The outdoor European-style vintage and collectable market will be held in the heart of downtown on the second Saturday of each month through September. The Paddlesports Festival is a two-day canoeing and kayaking event featuring plenty of activities both on water and land for beginners and experts alike. Patrons can take free boating lessons and check out vendor demonstrations and skill competitions. If you’re looking for a land-based alternative, you can visit the Art in the Park event featuring live music, an art sale and show as well as refreshments for purchase. Aurora Green Fest
Aurora Green Fest is a free city-wide eco-fest showcasing the latest environmental ideas and technology.
