Water Billing
Mission Statement
To provide municipal, financial services of the highest quality to the Residents and Businesses of the City of Aurora, the City Council, and the City Staff, in an efficient and progressive manner, while safeguarding City assets and upholding the Public Trust.
Important Information About Our Account Procedures
Federal law requires municipalities to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens or attempts to gain access to an account.
What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents. When you attempt to access your account, we will verify your identity before providing any account information.
E-Notifications
The City of Aurora offers an E-Notification service for city water accounts. This service notifies water customers when their bi-monthly water bills are available for online viewing. A summary of the customer’s bill is included in the E-Notification. The E-Notification also contains a link to the customer’s account history and the city’s online bill payment service. Customers who register for E-Notification will continue to receive printed bills in the mail for three billing cycles after receiving an E-Notification registration confirmation.
To register for this service, call the Water Billing Division at (630) 256-3600 or send an e-mail message to water@aurora-il.org. Include your name, service address, account number, cycle and route numbers, and a phone number where you can be reached. If you have questions about the E-Notification service, please contact the Water Billing Division. We also ask that customers notify us immediately of any changes in their e-mail addresses.
