- Q. How can one reduce the cost of a ticket?
- A. There are substantial penalties for late payment of parking citations. These penalties can be avoided by timely payment of tickets at the initial fine level.
- Q. What are Administrative Hearings?
- A. You may contest the validity of a parking ticket by appearing at an Administrative Hearing in person or by written appeal every Friday at 1:00 pm in the City of Aurora Council Chambers, 2nd floor, City Hall.
- Q. What are parking ordinances?
- A. Parking ordinances regulate parking in the City of Aurora. Parking ordinances are located in Chapter 27 of the City of Aurora Code of Ordinances which can be found at the public library or viewed online.
- Q. What are the current timeframes for the waiting lists that have been established for permit parking at Route 25 and Route 59?
- A. Route 25 currently has a three-year waiting list. Route 59 has a six-year waiting list. For Route 59/25 Commuter Station parking permits, contact “iparq” Intelligent Parking at 1-800-676-1611.
- Q. What is the daily cost of parking at the Route 25 and Route 59 train stations?
- Daily parking is available for a fee of $1.50 at Route 25 and $2.00 at Route 59. Exact change is required for purchase. Also, a debit card can be purchased for $45, which includes a $5 fee for the card and $40 credit for parking. You may purchase a debit card in person at Motor Vehicle Parking Division office, located at 44 E. Downer Place, or mail a completed Debit Card Application Form and check to the office at the above address. The debit card can be recharged at any of the pay stations, up to a $40 limit.
