Aurora Police Announce New Telephone Numbers
The Aurora Police Department has announced new telephone numbers for all police employees and divisions effective immediately.
While the number for police emergencies, 911, of course, does not change, the department has established a new non-emergency telephone number of (630) 256-5000. They reiterate that 911 should be used only in instances of immediate threats to personal safety or property.

Aurora is a Red Light Enforcement Community
The City of Aurora is dedicated to improving safety and saving lives by holding responsible, those motorists who drive through red lights.
Crashes caused by motorists who run red lights are particularly dangerous because most of them are known as “side impact” or “T-bone” crashes. These typically result in the most serious injuries because a vehicle’s occupants are less protected than if they were hit from either the back or head-on as they are sitting closer to the body of the vehicle.
