Water Billing
General Information
The City of Aurora issues approximately 50,000 water bills on a bi-monthly basis. We have towers located throughout the city that read the water consumption data from the water meters remotely and save that data in our billing software. A detailed explanation of charges, bill payment options and other services/information are provided in the adjacent menu.
Important Information About Our Account Procedures
Federal law requires municipalities to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens or attempts to gain access to an account.
What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents. When you attempt to access your account, we will verify your identity before providing any account information.
Manage Account / eBilling
You can manage your water account online here. You can view your bill history, payment history, consumption history, make a payment, sign up for auto pay and sign up for eBilling.
The eBilling function notifies water customers when their bimonthly water bills are available for online viewing. A summary of the customer's bill is included in the eBilling notification, and it also contains a link to the customer's account history and the city's online bill payment service. Customers who register for eBilling will continue to receive printed bills in the mail for 1 billing cycle after receiving an eBilling registration confirmation.
You may also register for eBilling by calling the Water Billing Division at 630-256-3600 or send an email message to the water billing division [email protected].
Please include the following:
- Your Name
- Service Address
- Account Number
- Date of Birth (For Verification Purposes)
- Phone Number Where You Can Be Reached
- Email Address
We ask that customers notify us immediately of any changes in their email addresses.
