The City of Aurora aims to be a bicycle-friendly community and promotes bicycling throughout the city. In downtown Aurora, a green dedicated bike lane protects riders from traffic and connects to major regional trails, sharrows alert vehicles to routes commonly used by bicyclists, and Koloni Fox Valley Bike Share stations offer another way to see downtown.
Koloni Bike Share
To create a more bike-friendly downtown, in July 2020, the City of Aurora partnered with Koloni to launch its new Fox Valley Bike Share program, a unified and seamless system connected to other municipalities in Kane County. This amenity is designed to make downtown Aurora easier for visitors to navigate and encourage economic growth for small businesses, as well as offer residents options for recreation.
