How it Works
The City of Aurora, The Conservation Foundation, and Upcycle Products are collaborating again this year to provide discounted rain barrels to Aurora residents.
An effective way to conserve water during the summer and fall months, rain barrels collect fresh water from rooftop gutter systems for use on lawns and gardens. In addition, rain barrels help to reduce runoff pollutants, improve hydration to plants with natural water and could help to lower water bills with consistent usage.
How to Order
55-gallon rain barrels are available in four colors – black, blue, gray, and terra cotta – for the discounted price of $60 plus tax and can be picked at the Downtown Aurora Farmer’s Market on Saturday, June 12 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Parking Lot B (west side of Water Street, between Downer Place and Benton Street).
For an additional $18.50 fee, rain barrels can be delivered directly to the purchaser's home in 5-7 business days.
