Retaining and Noise Abatement Walls
Start: Summer 2014. End: November 2016. Agency: Illinois Department of Transportation. Cost:
$40 million, with the City of Aurora contributing 300-000-from the
Local Motor Fuel Tax fund and an additional 300-000-from the Water and
Sewer Fund for water main work. Roughly 2/3 of the grade separation will
be paid by Canadian National Railway.
Access will be limited to one lane in each direction. Expect delays.
