Community Development Block Grant
Community Development Block Grant funds are granted directly to the City of Aurora to assist low to moderate income persons who earn 80% of the Chicago-Joliet-Naperville Area Median Income or below.

Energy Efficiency & Conservation Block Grant
The City of Aurora received $1,574,100 in Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant funds (EECBG) funds, from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

Illinois Assist Mortgage Credit Program
This program, which can be used with a variety of home loan products, offers down payment and closing cost assistance of up to 3% of the home loan amount to eligible first-time buyers.

The City of Aurora received $3,083,568, through the federal Housing and Economic Recovery Act (HERA) of 2008 Neighborhood Stabilization Program to acquire and redevelop foreclosed properties, reducing incidents of abandonment and blight within our community.
