Commercial Vehicles in Residential Neighborhoods

Trucks with Illinois license classification of up to a "B" weight standard may be parked at residential properties unless they are panel trucks or tow trucks.

Vehicles exceeding a "B" license classification are prohibited unless they are electrical, mechanical, or plumbing contractor vehicles used for emergency, 24-hour call service.

Violators may be ticketed. Additionally, City fines for large commercial vehicles parked in residential neighborhoods range from $50 to $200 per day.
