Minor vehicle repairs, such as oil changes, engine repair, rotating tires, and other small repairs, are permitted on a resident's property.

Commercial vehicle repair is prohibited. Commercial vehicle repair is defined, loosely, as repairs in which money is exchanged for the repair service or in which the vehicle being repaired is not owned by the property occupant. Major vehicle repair and bodywork outside of a garage is also prohibited.

City fines for prohibited vehicle repair range from $50 to $200 per day.
