The City of Aurora may shut off water to your property for non-payment of the city water bill and/or Fox Metro’s sewer sanitation bill.
To restore water service, the outstanding water bill must be paid in full including a turn-on fee.
Water is turned on between 3:00pm and 4:30pm.
Customers must be present, be over the age of 18, and have access to the property when the Customer Service Worker arrives. If no one answers the door, or does not have access, the water service will not be restored. You will then need to call the Water Billing Division at 630-256-3600, before 5 pm, to reschedule the turn-on.
You will also be charged an additional turn-on fee for each time the Customer Service Worker comes out to the property to attempt to turn the water on. If arrangements have not been made prior to 5 pm, you must wait until the next business day to have water restored.
Fox Metro Information
If your Fox Metro Water Reclamation bill is also delinquent, you must make payment to their office before we can restore water service. They will then authorize the City of Aurora to restore service under the same conditions as above.
