Patrol Division

The Patrol Division is the largest division of the Neighborhood Policing Bureau and of the entire Department.  Officers assigned to the Patrol Division have several primary responsibilities.  These include responding to calls for service; investigating traffic crashes; crime reduction and prevention through proactive enforcement and other means; and working with members of our community to solve problems and improve the quality of life for all Aurora citizens.

The Patrol Division also includes officers who have been specially trained to assist those in crisis or who have special needs.  These officers are referred to as Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) officers.  Click Crisis Intervention Team to find out more about these officers and the services they provide.

The Patrol Division also houses the K-9 Unit.   Click K-9 for more information.
