Safety tips to help keep riding fun:

It’s important to remember that persons operating bicycles must obey traffic laws (625 ILCS 5/11-1502)
Sections 625 ILCS 5/11-1501 through 625 ILCS 5/11-1516 of the Illinois vehicle code address bicycle laws

No person shall ride upon a sidewalk within the central business district of Aurora, and no person 15 or more years of age shall ride upon a sidewalk anywhere within the city (Aurora code of ordinances 27-267)

Wear conspicuous clothing while operating a bicycle to make yourself more visible to motorists.

Always utilize a headlamp and a rear reflector while operating a bicycle at night; it’s not just a good idea, it’s the law!
