The Mayor's Office Street Team           (The MOST)

Purpose:

Mayor Irvin, and all City of Aurora departments, are committed to engaging residents and other stakeholders in a variety of ways with their government. The focus of The MOST is to improve resident engagement in city sponsored events as well as in stakeholder events being held in the City of Aurora. It is anticipated that the active and energetic presence of MOST ambassadors will improve connectivity between city of Aurora government and the residents to which it serves. It is also a goal of the initiative to increase awareness of programs and resources available to our residents provided by our community partners. Ultimately, we want to expand the civic and community engagement profile of the City of Aurora.

Duties:

  • Answer basic questions about who we are and what we do.
  • Direct additional questions to website or Innovation Department email.
  • Administer web based survey. Encourage completion through provided incentives.
  • Meet monthly to plan participation in upcoming city sponsored activities.
  • Liaison with community stakeholders to increase awareness of programs and services.
  • Share information gathered with the public via social media and community outreach activities.

Requirements:

  • Must be outgoing, friendly, highly energetic and knowledgeable of the City of Aurora.
  • Must have a phone that is capable of taking and sending pictures and administering mobile based surveys.
  • Must have event planning and hosting experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to travel to on-site events.
