Aurora offers groups chance to Adopt-A-Road

The City of Aurora invites community organizations, school groups, and businesses to participate in the Adopt-A-Road Program in an effort to enhance the appearance of the city and beautify its roadways.  By adopting a road, participants will directly contribute to the beautification of their city.  Guidelines for adoption include an agreement to clean the assigned section of roadway four times a year between May 1 and October 1.  Participants are required to attend a safety-training program and sign a waiver and release form.  The city will supply garbage bags, safety vests and a road sign identifying the adopting group.
