Natalie Wiza, EMA Coordinator

Wiza 2022Natalie began her career with the City of Aurora in 2019 as an Emergency Management Specialist and was appointed to Emergency Management Coordinator in 2020.  She graduated from Jacksonville State University in 2020 with a Master’s Degree in Emergency Management.  She ensures citywide coordination through administration of the emergency management program for a variety of events and incidents in Aurora.  Natalie provides subject-matter expertise in all things emergency management but has a special focus in individual and collective social behavior during emergencies and disasters, public education and training, and the ability to see down the timeline of events to ensure whole community protection and appropriate actions.

Jamison Ryder, Training and Exercise Specialist

Headshot 2023Jamison started his career in public service as a law enforcement officer in Virginia and came to the city of Lights in 2020. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2020 with a Master’s Degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. He works to ensure that all city departments have the training and exercise experience they need to work effectively in the face of disaster. Jamison specializes in traffic management, incident command system, and works as the volunteer special events liaison.
