School Closings for COVID-19 Pandemic
As mandated by Illinois Governor JB Pritzker on Friday, March 13, all Illinois K-12 schools – public and private – must close through Monday, March 30. Due to Spring Break schedules, some Aurora schools will not reopen until after that date. Learn more about specific schools on their respective websites:
PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICTS
District 131 has made the decision to close our schools and buildings for a period of three (3) weeks, through April 5, 2020, unless otherwise notified.
District 129 will be closing all schools starting Monday, March 16, 2020, through the end of Spring Break, which ends on Friday, April 3, 2020
Indian Prairie School District 204 is closing schools and implementing e-learning across all schools starting Wednesday, March 18.
The district will not have students present in school buildings Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20 and possibly longer. Spring Break is March 23-30.
Batavia Public School District 101 will be closed Monday, March 16th through spring break, tentatively returning on April 6th.
The Kaneland School District will be closed beginning March 16, 2020 until April 3, 2020, which includes the scheduled Spring Break.
IMSA will extend its regularly scheduled spring break, March 16-20, to March 25 and shift to remote learning Thursday, March 26 through April 13. Onsite classes are expected to resume April 14.

In-person classes are suspended on all campuses as of 12 March. Classes will resume through online and remote formats on 18 March through at least 3 April.
Spring Break has been extended one week for ALL students. In addition to the scheduled spring break dates of March 16-22, Waubonsee is extending the break one week with no classes meeting through Sunday, March 29.
Plans for online or alternative delivery instruction are in place through April 19. All events for the remainder of the spring 2020 semester are canceled.
