One of the most effective ways to combat the spread of COVID-19 in our community is to WEAR A MASK! It is the first step in following the 3 Ws: Wear a mask, Watch your distance and Wash your hands.
In an effort to make sure every Auroran has a mask to wear, Mayor Richard C. Irvin launched the #MaskUpAurora campaign. Through a generous donation from the Willie Wilson Foundation, high-quality disposable masks are available for free:
Free masks (up to 10) are available for pick-up from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Aurora Customer Service Center, 3770 McCoy Drive. Senior citizens and residents with transportation concerns can call the Customer Service Center at 630-256-4636 to request a mask to be mailed.
Masks are available in large quantities of 500+ to faith communities, nursing homes, non-profit organizations, etc. A request must be completed and approved before a pick-up time is arranged.
