Fourth in Aurora 2022

FOURTH OF JULY PROCESSION

Join us from the comfort of your neighborhood or a nearby public location as a parade of public safety vehicles and a Heroes' Trolley of local veterans, kick off the morning of Fourth of July with lights, sirens and fun during the Fourth of July Procession. 

The Procession begins at 10 a.m. at Phillips Park and will travel throughout the city.

FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA

The City of Lights will live up to its nickname when the night sky is vibrantly illuminated by professional fireworks during the annual Fireworks Extravaganza at Riveredge Park and McCullough Park in downtown Aurora. 

Both parks open at 6 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. 

RIVEREDGE PARK | 360 N. River St. 

  • 6 p.m. - Gates Open
    • Food Vendors Available Until Fireworks 
  • 7 p.m. - 9:10 p.m.: Dance Party with DJ Suavesmooth 
    • 8:30 p.m.: Community Line Dances 
  • 9:15 p.m. - Fireworks 


MCCULLOUGH PARK | 150 W. Illinois Ave. 

  • 6 p.m. - Gates Open
    • Children's Entertainment, Inflatables, Games until fireworks
  • 6 p.m. - 9:10 p.m.: Dance Party with DJ Pena 


As an added bonus this year, families can also walk across the RiverEdge Park Bridge or down the path from McCullough Park to:

WILDER PARK PROMENADE | 350 N. River St.

6 p.m. - 9 p.m. | A variety of food trucks 

*Please note: Fireworks are not easily viewable from Wilder Park Promenade. Guests should return to RiverEdge Park or McCullough Park to watch the fireworks .
