Back to School Events

It's BACK TO SCHOOL time for Aurora students, and Aurora City Council members are helping to send our youth back to class prepared and ready to learn.  Ward 10 Alderwoman Shweta Baid kicked off the season with her 2nd Annual Back to School Ice Cream Social on Saturday, July 30, with free school supplies and ice cream (see above photo). 

Five more Aurora City Council members are hosting fun, educational and empowering events in August:

Ward 1 Alderman Emmanuel Llamas and Latino Fraternities and Sororities are hosting the 2nd annual Back to School Bash with free school supplies, food, kid's activities, music and more.

Ward 8 Alderwoman Patty Smith is collaborating with Calvary Church and the Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry for the 2nd annual Back to School event with free backpacks, socks, and a drive-thru food pantry!

Alderman-at-Large Sherman Jenkins and AAMOU host the 14th annual Back to School Giveaway with support from Alderman Mike Saville. Free school supplies are given in drive-thru format. Children must be present.
