On Tuesday, November 22, 2022 the City Council approved a moratorium on the issuance of any new Mobile Food Unit Licenses as well as the renewal of any licenses not in good standing with the city through February 28, 2023. During the period of the moratorium, city staff will be reviewing the current ordinance and proposing changes and the overall application process. 

If you have a license set to expire on December 31, 2022 and are in good standing with the city, you will be eligible to apply for a temporary permit through February 28, 2023 when the moratorium expires. 

On or before February 28, 2023 the City of Aurora will be implementing new regulations pertaining to mobile food units, including locations eligible for food trucks to operate. All proposed rules and regulations will be discussed at the Rules, Administration and Procedures Committee Meeting, which are at 3:00 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of every month.

El martes 22 de noviembre de 2022, el Concejo Municipal aprobó una moratoria sobre la emisión de cualquier nueva Licencia de Unidad Móvil de Alimentos, así como la renovación de cualquier licencia que no esté al día con la ciudad hasta el 28 de febrero de 2023. Durante el período de la moratoria, el personal de la ciudad revisará la ordenanza actual y propondrá cambios en el proceso general de solicitud.

Si tiene una licencia que vence el 31 de diciembre del 2022 y está al día con la ciudad, será elegible para solicitar un permiso temporal hasta el 28 de febrero de 2023 cuando vence la moratoria.

El 28 de febrero de 2023 o antes, la Ciudad de Aurora implementará nuevas regulaciones relacionadas con las unidades móviles de alimentos, incluidas las ubicaciones elegibles para que operen los camiones de alimentos. Todas las normas y regulaciones propuestas serán discutidas en la Reunión del Comité de Reglas, Administración y Procedimientos, que se lleva a cabo el primero y tercero martes de cada mes a las 3:00 p.m.
