Special Lawn Mowing Support Program

Are you in need of support with keeping your lawn cut this Spring/Summer?

The City of Aurora is now offering a Special Lawn Mowing program for qualified senior citizens and individuals living with disabilities in need of assistance with mowing their grass.

The Special Lawn Mowing Support Program includes the following:

  • 16 free lawn mows from May-October

  • Upon approval, no calls or scheduling needed to receive service

Senior/Individual with disabilities Requesting Assistance

Seniors or individuals with disabilities must apply to be considered for the Special Lawn Mowing Support program. The senior or individuals with disabilities must meet the eligibility criteria to be considered for approval. Upon being approved, you will receive services beginning in May through October. There will be a set number of mows scheduled for each month. Those approved will be prioritized based on greatest need and program service capacity.

Main Eligibility Criteria:

  • Aurora resident
  • Senior Citizen age 62 or older
  • Disabled
  • No other adults under the age of 60 living in the home capable of mowing the lawn
  • No other friends, family members, or neighbors available and willing to assist with mowing your lawn
  • Financially not able to cover the cost for lawn mowing assistance

Registration opens Monday, April 3, 2023 at 9:00am and closes, Monday, April 3, 2023 at 4:00pm.
