27. Anderson House, Circa 1912

Anderson House - 2-story, prairie style house
This large square brick house was designed by architect Eugene Malmer and built circa 1912 for A.M. Anderson, a vice-president of the Aurora Serum Co. Its low hip roof, wide eaves and string course of contrasting stone between floors are derivative of Prairie School architecture with its emphasis on horizontal lines. Note the beautiful beveled glass windows and doors.
