Enforcement Hours
On-Street parking is enforced from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Parking lots are monitored from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. The City utilizes electronic license plate readers to assure fair and equitable parking. If you require longer term parking, please use the parking lots identified with the letter "P." If you park in the downtown area daily there are a number of off-street parking lots that are available for longer-term free parking or use as permit parking.
Parking Tickets for Exceeding Time Limits
The City has instituted a graduated fine schedule for parking tickets issued for exceeding the posted time limit in the downtown. The parking fine is based on the number of repeat offenses in a rolling 12-month period.Number of Tickets |

Late Fees
There are penalties for late payment of parking citations. These penalties can be avoided by timely payment of tickets at the initial fine level. If the original fine is less than $50 the following additional penalties shall be assessed if tickets are left unpaid:When Paid |

You may pay a parking ticket in person with cash, check or money order; or by mail with a check or money order at:

You may contest the validity of a parking ticket by appearing at an Administrative Hearing in person or by written appeal every Friday at 1 p.m. in the City of Aurora Council Chambers, 2nd floor, City Hall.
