Aurora families are invited to learn more about opportunities for young people in the community at the Aurora Youth and Family Resource Fair 3.0 scheduled for next week.
Aurora's youth service providers and community organizations will reconvene for the third time this year on Thursday, October 19 from 6p to 8p at the Prisco Community Center, 150. W. Illinois Ave.
During the fair, parents and children will be able to visit with more than two dozen organizations, speak with the organizers and gather information about program participation and upcoming activities.
Last Spring, at the city's first and second resource fairs, more than 1,000 children and their parents turned out to find out about resources for families offered by the City of Aurora and the Aurora Public Library, the Aurora Fire and Police Departments, AAMOU, Aurora Township, Boy and Girl Scouts, Boys II Men, Communities in Schools, Family Focus, Fox Valley Park District, SciTech, Triple Threat Mentoring, and many other organizations.
Sponsored by the City of Aurora, Aldermen Scheketa Hart-Burns, Rick Mervine and Juany Garza, the Aurora Youth and Family Resource Fair 3.0 is free and open to the public.
