2018 Movies in Park Summer Series

Aurora's popular Movies in the Park Summer Series returns this weekend with a fun line-up of movies for June and July.

Co-sponsored by the Phillips Park Zoociety, the Movies in the Park summer series features free films on an outdoor jumbo screed under the stars. Movies begin at 8 p.m. at the Phillips Park Sledding Hill next to the Phillips Park Aquatic Center, 1150 Howell Place.


 The 2018 Movies in the Park Summer Series includes:


SATURDAY, JUNE 9: SING

In a town with no humans, just animals, a koala named Buster Moon realizes he will soon lose his theater if he cannot turn his luck around. He comes up with a plan to host a singing competition, where the winner will receive $1,000. Will this be enough to return his theater to glory? (PG)


SATURDAY, JUNE 23: WONDER

The incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman, a boy born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Auggie becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade and proves you can't blend in when you were born to stand out. (PG)


SATURDAY, JULY 7: BREAKING LEGS

High school freshman Bloom joins the dance team at her new school. Bloom finds herself thrust into a sudden, rivalry with the lead dancer when they're both nominated for the homecoming crown. Watch as the two square off in this fun but odd match to the finish. (NR)


SATURDAY, JULY 21: COCO

Despite his family's generations-old ban on music, young Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead. After meeting a charming trickster named Héctor, the two new friends embark on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel's family history. (PG)


Immediately prior to each movie being shown, there are family activities, including music, dancing and giveaways. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and bug spray. 


Concession stands will be open and parking is available on site.
