The City’s free leaf collection program that began in October will end on Friday, December 7. Residents also now have another opportunity to dispose of limbs and branches for free as well.
LEAF COLLECTION
While yards may still be covered in snow, forecasted above-freezing temperatures and rain are expected to assist in melting the snow, allowing for an opportunity to rake leaves once again. Residents are reminded not to push leaves into public roadways. Leaves must be put into a 30-gallon Kraft paper yard waste bag and placed at the curb by 6 a.m. on the regular garbage pickup day. No waste sticker is needed.
BUNDLED LIMBS AND BRANCHES
As a result of extensive tree damage during the recent snow storm, the City is partnering with Groot to also offer a special free bundled brush collection program until Friday, December 7. Branches and limbs 1/2 inch to 4 inches in diameter and 2 feet to 4 feet in length must be bundled. Each bundle must weigh less than 50 pounds and should be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. on the regular garbage pickup day.
