More than 25 community organizations and service providers will come together for the 5th Aurora Youth and Family Resource Fair on Thursday, April 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Prisco Community Center, 150. W. Illinois Ave.
During the fair, parents and children will be able to visit booths to speak with organizers and obtain information about program participation. The fair will also feature special performances, hands-on activities and raffle prizes.
“The fair allows us to present services to our youth and their families at one time,” said youth services manager Simon Rodriguez. “There will be organizations that are actively working to improve the health, academics, recreation, employment and overall empowerment of our youth.”
Participating organizations include: Aurora Public Library, Aurora Fire Department, Aurora Police Department, Accion Latina, BCS of Illinois, Central States SER, City of Aurora Youth Court, Communities in Schools, East Aurora School District 131, Family Focus, Fox Valley Park District, Jesse Torres Boxing Club, Kane County Sheriff’s Office, Law Enforcement Youth Academy, SciTech Hands On Museum, Simply Destinee Dance Team, True Eagle, Underground Royalty Dance and more.
