CITY SEEKS PUBLIC INPUT ON PLAN FOR WOLF'S CROSSING AREA
As part of a six-step planning process, the City’s Planning and Zoning Department will host a virtual Open House to discuss plans for the Wolf’s Crossing Subarea at 6 p.m. on Monday, January 11.
Interested residents and stakeholders can watch on the City’s Facebook page at City of Aurora, IL, Government and on the homepage of the City’s website at www.aurora-il.org.
Ward 9 Alderman Edward J. Bugg will provide opening remarks before the presentation.
A part of the City of Aurora’s Comprehensive Plan, the Wolf’s Crossing Subarea Plan is focused on updating the City of Aurora’s land use and transportation recommendations for an area of approximately 500 acres in the most southern part of Aurora in Ward 9, bounded by 111th Street, US Route 30, Eola Road, Wolf’s Crossing and the CN rail line.
The virtual open house is the fifth step in the process, which includes reviewing existing conditions; developing goals and objectives; creating future plans and recommendations; implementing strategies for actionable next steps; gathering public input; and adopting final plans via the Planning Commission, public hearing and City Council approval.
