[ARCHIVED] Honorary Street Dedications for Heroes

They made the ultimate sacrifice and paid the ultimate price, and we are forever grateful for their service to our country and community. 

The City of Aurora will further memorialize their lives and legacies of Lance Corporals Edwardo Lopez, Hector Ramos and Jesse DeLaTorre with honorary street dedications on Sunday, October 10:

• At 2 p.m., the street dedication for Lance Corporal Edwardo Lopez, who was killed in action on October 19, 2006, will be held at the intersection of Liberty St. and Schiller Ave. in the 1100 block of Liberty. 

• At 3 p.m., the street dedication for Lance Corporal Hector Ramos, who was killed in action on January 26, 2005, will be held at the intersection of Fifth Ave. and Smith St. in the 700 block of Fifth Ave. 

• At 4 p.m., the street dedication for Lance Corporal Jesse DeLaTorre, who was killed in action on April 16, 2007, will be held at the intersection of Jackson St. and North Ave. in the 300 block of Jackson St. 

All three were graduates of East Aurora High School.
