[ARCHIVED] Do you have old prescription drugs laying around your home? Turn them in on Saturday, April 30th

National DEA RX Take Back Day

Do you have old unused prescription drugs lying around in your home? Drop them off Saturday, April 30th at the Aurora Police Department during the National Drug Take Back Event.

With opioid overdose deaths increasing during the pandemic, the Aurora Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration announces our bi-annual Take Back Day on Saturday, April 30th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Aurora Police Headquarters.

Take Back Day allows you to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding your homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. The service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked.

We will collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs. Liquids (including intravenous solutions), syringes and other sharps, and illegal drugs will not be accepted. APD will continue to accept vaping devices and cartridges if the lithium batteries are removed.
