In accordance with Sec. 5 ILCS 120/2.02 of the Illinois Open Meetings Act, notice is hereby given that the Regular Monthly Meeting of the Block Grant Working Committee scheduled for October 5, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. has been cancelled. The next Regular Monthly Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.

The Block Grant Working Committee is established to provide direct resident involvement and oversight of the goals, objectives and resources of the Community Development Block Grant Program and other neighborhood redevelopment initiatives.

In order to maintain and implement the City's Comprehensive Plan some examples of what the Commission is empowered to give recommendations on are: Comprehensive Plan revisions, and plans for the present and future development or redevelopment of land within the City, permits, zoning, and more. The Commission is also an appeals board that reviews zoning issues as prescribed in the Aurora Zoning Ordinance, including proposed variations from the zoning code.
