Power Outage Update #3

As of 5:30 p.m.,  the remaining 300 customers on Aurora’s far east side have had power restored.  ComEd reports that all approx. 24,000 customers affected by today’s power outage in that area now have power again.

The Eola Community Center, located at 555 S. Eola Rd., has extended its Warming Center hours until 7:00 p.m. for any resident who may need warm shelter while homes heat back to comfortable temperatures. 

In addition, Aurora’s 24-hour Warming Center is available at the Aurora Transportation Center, located at 233 N. Broadway, around the clock.

Please call Aurora’s Customer Service Center at 630.256.INFO to:

  • Request a ride to the 24-hour Warming Center
  • Request a well-being check for someone who may be at risk due to the extreme cold
  • Report inadequate heat in a residential building
  • Connect to shelter and supportive service

Customer Service Center hours have been extended until 7p tonight as well.
