Experience Aurora Homeownership Expo

The City of Aurora, in Partnership with the Illinois Association of Realtors, and the Realtor Association of the Fox Valley and BMO Harris Bank, Standard Bank, and Aurora University, are proud to present the 2nd annual “Experience Aurora Homeownership Exposition,” which will highlight the great quality of life, experiences and other amenities that make Aurora such an attractive community for families considering new home-ownership opportunities. The event will have two primary areas of focus.

First, the City and its partners will be highlighting significant down-payment assistance programs of up to $6,000 - $12,000 that are available to first-time homebuyers, which includes anyone who has not owned a home in the past three years.

Second, the Exposition will include a host of exhibitors and presenters highlighting local parks, cultural and nightlife offerings, public safety, local school programs and colleges, festivals, libraries, and other important factors that families typically consider in choosing their first community as a homeowner.

A trolley will take guests around to 10 homes available in the Downtown area (with an additional 20 open houses Citywide).    The event will also encourage attendees to experience Aurora’s historic downtown.  Kids will enjoy a climbing wall and bounce house.  Free food and entertainment will be provided.   The exposition will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at River Street Plaza in Downtown Aurora, across from the City’s new central library.
