Application Process

Read all instructions before completing any forms. Applications or resumes must be submitted, or mailed, by 5 p.m. on the closing date on the posted announcement.   1. Look at the job announcement's minimum qualifications and the duties to determine whether you should apply for the position.
  2. A separate application must be submitted for each job title.
  3. The application will be held until the selection process begins. The selection process may include one and/or all of the following:
    • Civil Service test
    • Interview
    • Polygraph test
    • Psychological test
  4. If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted to set up an interview time. If applying for a Civil Service position, please refer to the information sheet you receive at the time of submitting your application.
  5. Once the selection process has been completed, the candidate selected for the position will be contacted to come in to complete the necessary paperwork. The candidate will also receive instructions on taking a physical examination. Applicant must have a picture ID in order to take the physical examination.
  6. Once the Human Resources department receives test results, the candidate will be contacted to determine a start date.
