An Evening with Aurora’s Amazing Youth

Aurora’s MLK Planning Committee, in collaboration with the City of Aurora and Aurora’s African-American Heritage Advisory Board, hosts the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration. Honoring the life and legacy of Dr. King, the event will feature performances from students and student groups and special awards for youth who serve the Aurora community.

2017 Day of Service: Volunteer in Aurora on MLK Day

High School and Middle School students are encouraged to participate in Aurora’s Day of Service on Monday, January 16 at one of the participating service locations listed below. This is a great opportunity to help the community, make an impact and earn community service hours. Every student who participates will receive a special award at the MLK Celebration in the evening of MLK Day.
